I'm driven by a passion to teach God’s Word in clear and applicable ways and to help people make sense of life with God. These days, I'm a local church pastor and an Independent Scholar. In addition to pastoring a wonderful church family, I spend my time writing and educating those interested in thinking about the challenging issues of life.

 

I have served in pastoral ministry for 37 years. I also taught courses on the Bible, theology, ancient near eastern history and pastoral leadership at Christian universities and seminaries on four continents for 25 years.

I'm a voracious reader and writer with new book projects and online content coming out soon. My YouTube channel is simply called Dr Bryan Fergus.

 

I earned my Doctor of Ministry degree from Phoenix Seminary, writing a dissertation entitled The Intersection of Analytic Theology and Catechesis.

 

I live with my wife, Stacy, in Southern Illinois.
